INCREASE TO THE STANDARD RATE OF VAT
WHAT HAS HAPPENED?
On 22nd June 2010, the Chancellor of the Exchequer issued a special budget statement that included notification of an increase in the rate of VAT from 17.5% to 20% with effect from 4 January 2011.
JUST DIAL INSTANT CALL CHARGES.
Call charges for calls made through Just Dial Instant Access numbers are billed to you by your service provider and not by Just Dial.
Our Just Dial Instant Access numbers are classed as Specialised Numbers. The price of the calls to Specialised Numbers, charged by BT, is set by Ofcom (the regulator) in the National Telephone Numbering Plan.
The rate shown for our Just Dial Instant service is the rate that you pay if you are a BT Residential Customer inclusive of VAT at 20%.
Unfortunately; due to the increase in VAT some of our price points for Just Dial Instant are not whole numbers and we will be showing the rate given in the BT Tariff Guide..
We believe that providing the rate as shown in the BT Tariff Guide we are giving the true cost of calling using our service.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY SERVICE PROVIDER ISN'T BT?
If you use Just Dial Instant from your mobile or call through a fixed line service provider other than BT; please check with your service provider for their rate prior to making a call.
